SUMMARY 
  • This position is responsible for providing support to production management team for quality monitoring, auditing and for quality process enhancements.  This position is under the direct supervision of a Project Leader / Functional leader and is regularly mentored by experienced Analyst/Leader. This position will utilize advanced analytical and problem solving techniques such as Six Sigma methodologies, Lean to support project teams to develop and implement quality and productivity improvement. 

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Review/analyze production quality results and undertake trend analysis and root cause analysis
  • Drive implementation of corrective and preventive actions and monitor trends during implementation for effectiveness review
  • Drive capture of best practices' / 'lessons learnt' and undertake knowledge sharing session for wider implementations
  • Drive development/enhancement of quality and related management initiatives for enhancing global production performance
  • Utilize advanced problem identification tools and process improvement methodologies
  • Lead/Drive/Mentor implementation of production management processes across teams and across departments
  • Conduct desk audits and provide performance feedback.
  • Perform root cause and suggest corrective actions for ICE (Incident Correction and Escalation) to prevent or guide reships or re-releases.
  • Support the development of a continuous improvement mindset within production and other DMO functions.  Support the training and development of team members. 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science / Management and/or GIS related field preferred
  • Relevant work experience of 4 to 6 years (or equivalent combination of advanced education and relevant work experience). 
  • Knowledge of NAVTEQ proprietary tools and production management processes
  • Demonstrable training/certification/usage of quality systems, relevant methodologies, and/or project management processes will be desirable
  • Process oriented skills with focus on deadline achievement
  • Six Sigma green Belt Certification
  • Good knowledge of MS Office Applications with emphasis on presentation, word, and excel.
  • Detail oriented and with good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills

General Summary
  • This position is responsible for the execution of the quality control processes in Production to ensure that the production teams meet their targets on quality, cost, delivery, and speed. This position reports to a Lead Production Manager / Production Quality Manager and collaborates with Production Managers, other Project Leaders and DMO and Corporate Quality. Individual contributions will be expected and may have direct reports also.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Work collaboratively with other Project Leaders and Production Managers to ensure QIL, QA, and QQ processes are executed effectively
  • Conduct regular and rigorous review of project quality performance with other Project Leaders
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities to improve QIL, QA, and QQ performance
  • Maximize the utilization of Quality Responsibles to provide expert-level feedback to all production activities to drive continuous quality improvement.
  • Support the Quality Manager in the development of more advanced and effective quality control techniques (e.g. DB audits, EOP clean-up process, etc.)

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science / Management and/or GIS related field preferred
  • 6+ years experience with NAVTEQ proprietary tools or equivalent relevant outside experience
  • Six sigma green/black belt certification preferred & exposure to Lean / six sigma projects desired

  • This position is responsible for managing ‘Production Operations Support’ activities at a large-scale production center for executing geo-coding related activities that address both regional and global production requirements. This role is responsible for supervising between 4 and 16 people. This role is under the general direction of the Director of the production center (or the center leader).  The role has the responsibility to enable the production center to meet project deliverables (and goals and objectives) within the prescribed timeframe, funding parameters and resources 

JOB DESCRIPTION 
  • Project and Budget Planning
  • Oversees planning process for production, including budgeting and estimating of project work
  • Key lead to provide input to optimize of Management Information System (MIS) to meet Global production needs and requirements  
  • Provide technical and analytical guidance for production management team
  • Identifies opportunities and develops processes and procedures to generate increased efficiencies within global production
  • Facilitates Execution Plan (EP) activities within global production
  • Project Execution
  • Reviews project status reports prepared by production managers and project leaders Reviews recommendations to process and procedure modification. May assist production managers in providing updates to the internal customers on project plan changes, particularly those that impact delivery timing
  • Leads production center operations support team to enable timely project updates and to mitigate any project variances, changes with Global Production, Global Field Ops and senior management

  • Plans and forecasts the FTE capacity and works with ‘Global Production Support Team’ to eliminate /mitigate imbalances and associated risks

  • Assists senior management in monitoring cost projections and targets.  Works closely with Finance to estimate and monitor/control global production costing activities
